Brody McMurtry, a native of Nashville, Tennessee, joined Smith Cashion & Orr in 2009. His current trial work is comprised of product liability related cases throughout the Southeast.

Mr. McMurtry received his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2007.

Following law school, Mr. McMurtry worked for Greenberg Traurig law firm in New York. He also served as legal counsel to the non-profit organization Invisible Children. He holds a Masters Degree from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Union University.

During law school, Mr. McMurtry served as an Editor for the Virginia Journal of International Law and a Symposium Editor for the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy. He participated in the law school’s Moot Court and served as a law clerk to the United States Department of Justice. He also spent a summer with the International Justice Mission in Kampala, Uganda.
