Charles L. Howorth III (Chip), born
in Jackson, Mississippi and a native of Nashville, Tennessee is an
associate with Smith Cashion & Orr, PLC, where he concentrates his
practice on construction litigation, commercial litigation, and
general civil litigation.
Mr. Howorth received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical
Engineering from the University of Mississippi in 2004. While at
University of Mississippi, Mr. Howorth was a Who’s Who Candidate and a
member of the Engineering Honor Council.
Mr. Howorth worked for the Mechanical Group at the A&E
firm of Barge, Waggoner, Sumner & Cannon in Nashville, Tennessee from
2004-2007.
In 2010, Mr. Howorth was awarded his Juris Doctor degree
from University of Tennessee College of Law, where he was Vice President
of the Environmental Law Organization. Mr. Howorth was also a member of
the National trial Team, and Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of
Business Law. During his final year of law school, Mr. Howorth was
honored with membership into the Order of the Barristers.
Mr. Howorth is a member of the American Bar Association,
the Tennessee Bar Association, the Nashville Bar Association, the
Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel, and the Associated
General Contractors of Tennessee. Mr. Howorth was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2010.
Additionally, Mr. Howorth is one of the coaches for the
mock trial team at Montgomery Bell Academy.
