Meghann E. McConnell, born in 1980 and a native of Nashville, Tennessee, is an associate with Smith Cashion & Orr, PLC, and concentrates her practice on construction law and general civil litigation.

Ms. McConnell received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Mississippi in 2002. While at Ole Miss, Ms. McConnell was a member of the McDonnell-Barksdale Honors College, Pi Sigma Pi Honor Society, Golden Key National Honor Society, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society.

In 2007, Ms. McConnell obtained her Juris Doctor degree with Honors from the University of Tennessee College of Law. While at the University of Tennessee, Ms. McConnell was a member of the Tennessee Law Review, Student Bar Association, Law Women and served as a Student Advisor. While on the Tennessee Law Review, Ms. McConnell received the Editor’s Award in 2007 for her work as a Research Editor and the Second Year Editor Award in 2006. She earned Certificates for Academic Excellence for extraordinary achievement in Trial Practice, Family Law, and Domestic Violence Seminar.

Following law school, Ms. McConnell joined Smith Cashion & Orr, PLC, as an associate. Ms. McConnell was admitted to the Tennessee bar in 2007. She is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Nashville Bar Association, the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel and Women in Construction.
