Ryan N. Stringfellow, a native of
Clermont, Florida, joined Smith Cashion & Orr in 2011 as an Associate.
He devotes his practice to construction law, commercial litigation, land
use, and zoning issues.
Mr. Stringfellow received a Bachelor of Science in
Building Construction, cum laude, from the M. E. Rinker, Sr.,
School of Building Construction, University of Florida, in 2006. While
at the University of Florida, he served as a Student Ambassador, Vice
President of his College Council, and was inducted into Sigma Lambda
Chi, the International Construction Honor Society.
Having worked for subcontractors of various trades, and
as a commercial project manager and superintendent, Mr. Stringfellow
acquired valuable construction experience before practicing law.
In 2010, Mr. Stringfellow received his Master of
Business Administration from the Brock School of Business, Samford
University, where he served on the Dean’s Graduate Student Advisory
Board and earned the distinction of Beta Gamma Sigma, the highest
recognition awarded to a student in an AACSB - accredited business
program.
Mr. Stringfellow received his Juris Doctor from
Cumberland School of Law, Samford University, in 2010, where he served
as Articles Editor for the American Journal of Trial Advocacy,
Chair of the Cordell Hull Speaker’s Forum and was awarded the Judge
Abraham Caruthers Teaching Fellowship. Mr. Stringfellow was a member of
the Senior Trial Board, competed on the National Mediation Team, and was
a four-time Scholar of Merit.
He currently serves on the M. E. Rinker, Sr., School of
Building Construction Advisory Board and is a member of the American Bar
Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, the Nashville Bar
Association, and the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel.
Seminars or guest lectures presented by Mr. Stringellow
include Liability in the Performance of Building Inspection Duties
(with Joshua K. Chesser) and Practical Considerations from a
Contractor Turned Attorney.
