Benjamin Smith Associate

Benjamin Smith is a native of Birmingham, Alabama, and joined Smith Cashion & Orr in 2026. Mr. Smith is an associate attorney whose practice focuses primarily on representing contractors, subcontractors, and owners in construction law matters.

Ben earned his J.D. from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2024, where he was a member of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy and the Cumberland Veterans Legal Assistance Clinic. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in Marketing and a graduate of the Professional Sales Certificate Program. While attending UAB, Mr. Smith also worked as a licensed realtor.

Ben is admitted to practice law in Alabama. He has been admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama.
