Brenden Holbrook, a native of Pinch, West Virginia, is a partner at Smith Cashion & Orr, PLC. Brenden concentrates his practice on representing professionals in the construction industry, including owners, contractors and design professionals. Since joining the firm in 2022, Brenden has handled various construction related matters including construction/design defect claims, construction delay, disruption and acceleration claims, payment disputes, change order disputes and assisted his clients in navigating Tennessee Lien law. Brenden also handles complex insurance coverage matters.
Brenden graduated from the University Of Tennessee College Of Law in 2021. During law school, Brenden worked with the University of Tennessee Research Foundation, assisting the University in the commercialization of University funded technology. While in law school, Brenden served as the President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and was a member of the Entertainment Law Moot Court Program.
Brenden received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Alderson Broaddus University located in Philippi, West Virginia in 2017, where he was a four-year member of the football program. While at Alderson Broaddus University, Brenden was part of the 2016 Great Midwestern Athletic Conference Championship football team. In addition to his involvement with the football program, Brenden was a leader of the Sigma Delta Nu fraternity, and a three-year member of the Great Midwestern Athletic Conference First-Team All-Academic Team.
Brenden is a member of the Associated General Contractors of Tennessee where he completed the AGC’s Construction Leadership Program. Brenden is also a member of the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel, Associated Builders and Contractors of Tennessee, Tennessee Bar Association, Nashville Bar Association, and the Young Lawyers’ Division of the Nashville Bar Association.
Outside the office, Brenden loves to cheer on the West Virginia Mountaineers alongside his wife, Carlie, and their beloved pets, Sadie and Dexter.
