Sam Jones, a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, joined Smith, Cashion, & Orr as an associate in 2025. Sam counsels clients on a range of business disputes and commercial litigation matters. His practice focuses primarily on representing contractors, subcontractors, and owners in the areas of construction law, as well as insurance carriers in subrogation matters.
Before joining Smith, Cashion, & Orr, Sam worked as an associate for two other regional law firms in Nashville, and also served as an administrative judge for the Tennessee State Government.
Sam earned his B.S. in Public Affairs with a concentration in Law and Public Policy, along with a minor in History from Indiana University in 2017. He went on to earn his J.D. from Marquette University Law School in 2020.
Sam is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
