A native of Owensboro, Kentucky, Blake E. Creekmur joined Smith Cashion & Orr, PLC as an Associate in 2022.
Mr. Creekmur’s practice focuses primarily on representing contractors, subcontractors, and owners in construction litigation. This representation ranges from complex commercial disputes, to smaller home-owner disputes.
Mr. Creekmur attended the University of Tennessee, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in both American Studies and Political Science. While attending the University of Tennessee, Mr. Creekmur was involved in the Student Government Association, serving on its Executive Board as Chief of Staff. After graduating from the University of Tennessee in 2018, Mr. Creekmur served as a legislative intern for United States Senator Lamar Alexander in Washington, D.C. In 2022, Mr. Creekmur was awarded a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law. During his time at the University of Kentucky, Mr. Creekmur served on the Editorial Board of the Kentucky Law Journal, as a Notes Editor. Mr. Creekmur also wrote an academic paper which was published in the Kentucky Law Journal.
Mr. Creekmur was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2022. Mr. Creekmur is currently a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel (“TACC”).
